Teach me, Lord, your way
that I may walk in your truth
single-hearted and revering your name. (Ps 86:11)
One of the titles that Jesus chose for himself is “Son of Man.” So in this little book we are inviting Jesus to have a “Man to man” talk with us. For this to happen, we must spend some quality time with Our Lord, the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the way to the Father. “No one comes to the Father except through me” (Jn 14:6). He is the truth about God, about us and about God’s eternal plan for us. He is the life; only in Jesus do we discover the purpose for our life. Only in Christ do we reach our ultimate fulfillment and eternal happiness.
As men we are often focused on practical things like paying bills and planning for the future. However, we are not just material beings. God has created us primarily as spiritual beings with an eternal existence. When we plan for the future, our first concern should be about our relationship with God and the happiness he promises us if we remain faithful to Him. He has revealed what we must do if we are to remain faithful.
If we want to be faithful we must have a plan; and this plan will keep us on the right path.
