Guest Information

Scott Carter is a native of Wichita, Kansas.  After high school, he attended Wichita State University studying Aerospace Engineering before discerning a call to the Diocesan Priesthood.  He spent two years at St. John Vianney Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Philosophy, and then 3 years at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where he earned his Master’s in Theology.

Although he discerned he was not called to the priesthood, he developed a great love for Servant of God Emil Kapaun in his time in seminary, and he currently works for the Diocese of Wichita as the Coordinator for Father Kapaun’s Cause for Beatification and Canonization.  In this position, he helps further the legacy of Father Kapaun in order to promote his cause for sainthood, as well as welcoming visitors to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, where Father Kapaun is buried.  Scott is married to his beautiful wife Sarah and has a daughter who just turned one year old.
