Patron saint against epidemics, eye problems, and throat infections. Patron of the poor & of sick children, as well as a variety of trades including electricians, farmers, glass workers, laborers, lawyers, notaries, sailors, salespersons, tailors, weavers, and writers.

Patron saint against storms & lightning, of students & schools, of chastity, learning, and of publishers & book sellers.
St. Thomas was bullied as a "Dumb Ox" because he was large and slow of speech, but he became one of the most prolific thinkers and writers in history. He wrote hymns you probably know, including Panis Angelicus, O Salutaris Hostia, and Tantum Ergo Sacramentum.
