Janette Howe and husband, Jeff, are long-time members of the Cathedral of St Paul. Jeff is a convert to Catholicism (2001) and Janette a revert in 1999. They have two adult children: A married daughter, Kelsa, who calls Omaha home, and a son, Fr Spencer Howe, a priest serving the Archdiocese of St Paul-Mpls.
Janette is a retired long-time Registered nurse and also holds a Masters in Theological Studies from Ave Maria University.
She is a daily communicant and an active member of the Lay Missionaries of Charity which nurtures a vibrant Eucharistic life that is often expressed through service among the poorest of the poor.
Janette has initiated two Apostolates:
First: in the Year of the Eucharist (2004-05) an Apostolate that issues daily email Eucharistic Meditations called Truth Himself which holds as its aim to cultivate a growing knowledge, love and service of our Eucharistic Lord; And the second is the Seven Sisters Apostolate fostering prayer for priests in the form of offering Holy Hours.
