Melissa Weeks is the Military Council of Catholic Women Director of Faith Formation within the Archdiocese of the Military Services (AMS). Outside of the Board of Directors, she is the wife of an active-duty airman and mother of five. Her home life consists of homeschooling as a profession for the past twenty years, keeping up on food and laundry, ducking into Mass and Adoration during the week, outdoor excursions, and most recently learning to ride a motorcycle.
With one child left in high school, she feels blessed to have started working two part-time jobs: her self-employed missionary work called Apostolic Soul, making spiritual initiatives for the military, and an amazing new job working for the AMS as a Discipleship Trainer for Reach More. This is the work she loves, using her MA in Theology/Philosophy to bring more spiritual opportunities to the lives of our military service members and their families. Stronger spiritual conviction in who we are as sons and daughters of God and in our mission in Christ can resonate out into our duty spaces and homes. She is proud to be part of the MCCW, which has been working for generations to promote faith formation, leadership, and service in our military communities so women can feel connected, united, and inspired in their Catholic lives.
