Fr. Charles Khachan is the pastor of St. George Maronite Catholic Church in San Antonio, TX. St. George is an Easter Catholic parish and part of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles. Fr. Charles was born in Lebanon and is the youngest of 3 children. Upon graduating from high school, he joined the Congregation of Maronite Lebanese Missionaries, a religious order based in Lebanon. In 1998, Fr. Khachan made his perpetual vows profession and on July 4, 1999, he was ordained to the priesthood. After serving 4 years as a middle school administrator, he was assigned to serve the Maronites in the United States in 2003. He served in the Maronite parishes of St. Maron in Cleveland, OH, Our Lady of Lebanon in Chicago, IL, and St. George in San Antonio, TX. Fr. Charles has a Master’s Degree in Education from John Carroll University, a Master’s of Science in Ecclesial Administration and Management from St. Thomas University, and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of the Incarnate Word.
