Christmas Greetings to You!
At the front desk, we've both been blessed to welcome so many faces (new and returning!) to Pilgrim Center of Hope (PCH). If you haven't visited in a while, we'd love to see you soon...
This year, we started a new tradition: Every Friday from 10am-4pm is now an opportunity to spend 'Day In Jerusalem' (in December: 'A Day In Bethlehem') at Pilgrim Center of Hope. This is a self-guided pilgrimage to help you experience the Holy Land! Plan Your Visit by visiting this page on our website.
We also added and improved our Gift Shop in-person & online to purchase religious items and PCH merchandise to support and spread our mission. These include in-person shop items like handmade Olive Wood items from the Holy Land, locally handmade rosary bracelets, and locally handmade Seven Sorrows chaplets with a special prayer card that lets you listen & pray along to an audio recording of the Chaplet of Mary's Seven Sorrows. Plus, many more items!
Recently, we opened registration for the Catholic Men's Conference & Catholic Women's Conference! Please help us by inviting your friends and neighbors! If you're interested in volunteering before or during the conferences, call us: 210-521-3377. We look forward to catching up with you!

The both of us have been well and remain in awe of God's work through the mission of Pilgrim Center of Hope.
Events held here at the Center have more than doubled over the last two years! Thanks to the wonderful work of our staff Groundskeeper, Christopher Bush; individuals, families, and groups including school retreats have all enjoyed these beautiful 6.8 acres consecrated to the Lord. We especially thank you on behalf of visitors we received this year who'd been away from the Church yet felt comfortable approaching God at this unique Center. It is your support which allows us to be here and welcome them.

This Franciscan Jubilee Year has been filled with blessings from our Media Department's perspective! We were humbled to welcome the Capuchin Franciscan Friars onto our Journeys of Hope weekly radio broadcast & podcast, as well as many other clergy, religious & lay guests who guided our listeners to hope and discernment. We're so grateful for these guests' generosity of time; they provided a wonderful treasure trove for you that are available now on our website and podcast feeds!
Your generous donations in 2026 helped cover the cost of exciting improvements:
- New audio equipment for our podcasts & video productions like Meet Mary.
- New audio equipment to use for indoor and outdoor events and presentations at Pilgrim Center of Hope.
We look forward to offering these to you in 2027!

The Board of Directors is truly blessed to serve Pilgrim Center of Hope in this pivotal moment of discerning and creating a path for the future of the Center. We recognize that the mission before us requires prayerful consideration, bold planning, and collaborative effort.
Recently, we welcomed two outstanding leaders onto the Board of Directors: Cece Smith and Mark Tharp.
