Dr. Leonora Butau

Dr. Leonora Butau

Leonora P. Butau, Ph.D. is a theologian and educator with expertise on our patron saint, St. Joseph.

She earned her Master of Arts in Bioethics and Medical Law with distinction from St. Mary's Catholic University in London, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Catholic Ethics from the same institution. Among her many professional affiliations: Member of the Catholic Medical Association, and Contributor to the Benedict XVI Center for Religion and Society.

After eight years teaching undergraduate and postgraduate Theology in London, she and her husband moved to Texas in 2018, where they are raising three sons.

She has provided formation to seminarians, deacon candidates, parish leaders, and men’s groups nationally and internationally on the spiritual life, St. Joseph, the Blessed Virgin Mary, marriage and the family, and the Theology of the Body.

As a former Program Director for the St. John Paul II Foundation and a Formator in the UK-based School of Mary, Dr. Butau is experienced in equipping men to follow St. Joseph’s example as protector and guide.

After an overwhelmingly positive response to her presentation at Pilgrim Center of Hope's summer Marian Conference on St. Joseph, we invited Dr. Butau to become the first-ever female speaker at our Catholic Men's Conference.

Please join us in praying for Dr. Butau as she prepares her presentation.
