Spend 'A Day In Jerusalem'
Walking around Pilgrim Center of Hope's nearly 7 acres, you'll be able to glimpse the Holy Land sanctified by the life of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
- Photographs: Pass through our first hall, displaying photographs of some of our pilgrimage groups who have journeyed to the Holy Land (and beyond)! Can you identify the Bishop of Jerusalem?
- Ancient Stones: View rocks from the sites of Jesus' birth, life, and death throughout the Center - especially in our reliquary. These were gifts from the Franciscan Friars, official Custodians of the holy sites.
- Gethsemane Chapel: Named for the Garden where Jesus spent time with his apostles and prayed for the Father's will.
- Pray for peace, with pieces of ancient alive trees from the Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem.
- Spend quiet time with Jesus present in the Tabernacle.
- 3:00pm Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be prayed.
- Prayer Garden: Sit in our 'Galilee Boat' inspired by those of the Holy Land and enjoy the Prayer Garden which includes some plants found in the Holy Land.
- Take a stroll and appreciate God's Creation.
- Bring your Bible and journal for reflection.
- Bring your sack lunch to enjoy on the picnic tables.
- Follow the Via Dolorosa on the Stations of the Cross Pilgrim Path in our Prayer Garden; prayer pamphlets are available.
- Museum Exhibition - Discover what science, history, and art can tell us about the world's most studied artifact, and Jesus' experience in Jerusalem.
Are you interested in learning more? Schedule a presentation about the Holy Land, "The Fifth Gospel," for groups of 10 or more at Pilgrim Center of Hope (or at your facility)! Our Missionaries of Hope will guide you through a 'virtual' pilgrimage and let the Scriptures come alive.
