Deacon Tom and Mary Jane Fox hosted guest Paul Vance, founder of The Tobit Ministry of San Antonio.
This unique ministry devotes itself to the reverential burial of men and women who were homeless and have no other options provided by family or friends. Through contact with various ministries to the homeless, the Tobit Ministry responds to the death of those who live on the streets by facilitating the burial of those individuals in a dignified manner, respecting in each their particular faith and culture. The Tobit Ministry seeks out partnerships with individuals and organizations concerned with the most poor in our community.

Has anyone ever asked you why the Catholic Church has such extravagant cathedrals and basilicas? Sometimes this comes as an accusation: Why not use all that money for the poor?
In fact, these buildings are for the poor because they are for everyone. Churches are architectural models of the cosmos as God has ordered it, with the altar and presence of our Lord at the center.
Not only by their incredible beauty do their illustrate our faith, the great church buildings of the Church also teach us by their structure, how they are organized. Each section of the buildings is designed to convey a certain meaning about either God, the Gospel or the life of the Church.

The mission of the San Antonio Catholic Women’s Conference is to foster an appreciation for the personal dignity of women, to inspire women to know and love God and to encourage women to use their feminine gifts to transform the family and society.
How does a two-day event achieve this mission?
By bringing together avenues of grace, including fabulous speakers, Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Adoration & Benediction, and more!
Women came from all over the United States to attend the Catholic Women’s Conference. Here are a few words from some of the attendees:
“I came away feeling blessed, healed & rejuvenated.”
“It motivates me to go home and learn more about my faith and to teach it to my family. To also take more to my parish to maybe help build our community.”
“It will help support me as a wife, mother, friend and a child of God. Give me strength to keep going.”
“I am happy to be a woman and that God has a plan for me. He entrusts many individuals to me: students, children, grandchildren.”
“I will bring the dignity of womanhood to my family, parish & neighborhood. I have the tools NOW to use for everyday living in serving Christ.”
