Evenings with Mary

Each Evening with Mary is a mini Marian conference hosted within a parish environment, promoting an awareness of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s role in the salvation plan of God.

“Our Lady of the Rosary” painting is used only with special permission from the artist, Ken Fox. Copies are not allowed. Prints available for purchase through Pilgrim Center of Hope – call us 210-521-3377.

Evenings with Mary provide an opportunity to discover how the Rosary can lead individuals, couples and families to a deeper relationship with Christ, and facilitate healing and peace. Our presenters teach about Mary and her gifts such as the Rosary, the Scapular, and others, given to the world through her apparitions. Participants are introduced to Mary, learn about her role in bringing us closer to Christ, pray a guided Rosary together, and receive spiritual tools to use as they go forth.

Allow us to introduce you to Mary, so that you may invite her into your home.

“How beautiful is the family that recites the Rosary every evening! The Rosary is a prayer both so humble and simple and a theologically rich in Biblical content. I beg you to pray it.” – Pope St. John Paul II

5 Ways Mary Teaches Us About Happiness

We all desire lasting happiness, but it seems fleeting based on our circumstances, emotions, what we can see. Mary’s faith and witness teach us that for happiness to remain, we need to attach ourselves to what is real, true, infallible, and objective. How do we do that? Spend an Evening with Mary, and learn how you, too, can find happiness that endures.

Forming A Forgiving Heart through Mary

One of the most difficult spiritual challenges to overcome is forgiving someone who has caused us physical, emotional, and mental pain. Sometimes the betrayal can be overwhelming, and we may be inclined to re-live those events in our minds. Our hearts may want to harbor the pain for years, or even decades. Mary is the epitome of true mercy and forgiveness, and teaches us how to move past the pain and into the fullness of Christ. Please join us for this Evening with Mary on how, through Mary’s example, Christ can heal our hearts through the power of forgiveness.

Mary Teaches Us How to Prepare Our Hearts for Relationships

How does Mary teach us the fundamentals of building and maintaining meaningful relationships as God intended?  At times when our lives are thrown off-balance and we see our families fall apart, as families sometimes do, we tend to want to blame each other, our jobs, the commute, the boss, our lack of education, our lack of money, etc. However, Mary teaches us, with concrete examples from her life, how to make holy and balanced, our ever-imperfect lives and relationships.

About the Presenter: Alexandra Kubebatu is a parishioner at St. Matthew Catholic Church in San Antonio and a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites.  She conducts workshops addressing faith and family issues, as well as the art and science of Catholic journal writing.  Alexandra authored and designed five books including the 40 Days of Greater Peace and 40 Days of Greater Love series of Catholic journals and coloring book companions.  Alexandra’s greatest honor and joy is being a wife and mother of three lovely children.

As an immigrant to this city, I am thankful to God for leading me to Pilgrim Center of Hope in 2009 where I found different avenues to grow and practice my Catholic faith. Currently, I am involved in different ministries both in my parish St. Pius X, and in other Catholic organizations such as Peregrinos en Accion that is an Spanish evangelization group. In 2010, I realized how beautifully God works in my life by bringing me closer to our Lord Jesus during my first pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I will never forget this life-changing experience. My prayer is to continue serving the people of God by offering to the Church my talents, time, and blessings.
