We are happy to share with you the patron saint for this year’s conference, St. Teresa of Calcutta!
We know this amazing saint and woman will be prayerfully leading our planning and promotional efforts.
Mother Teresa worked tirelessly on behalf of the poor. Her love knew no bounds. Nor did her energy, as she crisscrossed the globe pleading for support and inviting others to see the face of Jesus in the poorest of the poor.
In 1979, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. On September 5, 1997, God called her home. Blessed Teresa was canonized by Pope Francis on September 4, 2016.
St. Teresa of Calcutta truly embodied the ‘feminine genius’ with which women are blessed!
Deacon Tom Fox, Co-Founder & Co-Director of Pilgrim Center of Hope wrote a special prayer, asking for St. Teresa of Calcutta’s intercession. Please join us in prayer.
Mother to the poorest of the poor, true witness
of charity, you lived the call of all Christians to
not so much be successful but to be faithful, so
that we may experience the presence and peace
of God in our lives. We ask your intercession
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, whom
you served on earth, for this intention if it be
consistent with His Holy Will…We join you in
prayer for the poorest of the poor so that they
may receive relief through God’s infinite mercy
and through those who respond to their needs
in charity. Amen. Glory be to the Father…
CWC Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you for the constant love you have for me. Thank you for the gift of life, the gift of faith, and the gift of my vocation to womanhood.
Today, take into your Sacred Heart all women you are calling to this year’s Catholic Women’s Conference. Through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, may each of us open our hearts to your grace, to be healed where healing is needed. Replace any wounds or worries with your peace and joy.
Send your Holy Spirit to renew our lives. Fill us with confidence and trust in Your Goodness. Guide us to be the women you have created us to be: your beloved daughters, disciples, and friends. Make us women of faith, hope, and charity, so needed in this hurting world today.
May the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ cover us to purify and protect us from the evil which seeks to destroy us and our loved ones. Please remove any obstacles which keep us from living our unique dignity as women of God.
Thank you, Lord Jesus. For all this, I pray in your sweet & holy Name. Amen.
