The Triumph of the Holy Cross

What is the Exaltation of the Holy Cross?

Join Deacon Tom Fox and Robert Rodriguez as they talk about the actual discovery of the Cross of Christ; where and when it was discovered, how it was authenticated, who made the discovery, and why all Christians look to the Cross as the instrument of their salvation.

Message of Hope:

The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved ti is the power of God.  – 1 For. 1: 18

Meet Pope St. John Paul II

Get to know the most beloved Pontiff in modern-time, as Deacon Tom and Mary Jane Fox share their thoughts and memories of Pope St. John Paul II. Canonized in 2014, by Pope Francis, he was the second-longest reigning pope. Born Karol Woytyla, he travelled extensively, and canonized almost 500 saints during his 26 year reign as the head of the Universal Church.

This will be an intimate look at the first Polish pope, the Pope of the Rosary, the Pope of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the pope who visited San Antonio in September of 1987. The 264th pope had as his motto, Totus Tuus (Totally Yours), a reference to his profound love for the Virgin Mary.

Message of Hope

Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.       -― Pope John Paul II

This Week’s Message of Hope:

Remember that you are never alone, Christ is with you on your journey every day of your lives! He has called you and chosen you to live in the freedom of the children of God. Turn to him in prayer and in love. Ask him to grant you the courage and strength to live in this freedom always. Walk with him who is “the Way, the Truth and the Life”! – Pope St. John Paul II (August 23, 1997)
