A Journey to St. John the Baptist – New York, NY

This week, our journey takes us to New York City! Come on a an audio pilgrimage with our Media Production Assistant, Jason Nunez, as we spiritually travel to the Church of St. John the Baptist. Founded 21 years before the Civil War, St. John the Baptist has remained an historic, beautiful sanctuary in the heart of the city for over 175 years! In 2015 an archdiocesan reorganization combined St. John’s with The Church of the Holy Cross to form The Parish of Holy Cross-Saint John the Baptist. Both are open to everyone, we will be placing a focus on the Church of St. John the Baptist.

On today’s journey, you will learn about:

  • The rich history of the Church of St, John the Baptist
  • Shrine of Padre Pio and its contents
  • A reflection on the Shrine of Padre Pio

We are so grateful to this month’s sponsor, Michelle Macias, who made this podcast episode possible.
